Study for a rowing scene.
I rowed for Northeastern University my freshman year. I always wanted to do a rowing painting, and never liked those of Thomas Eakins. Most are passive scenes. The one athletic scene I know of shows great muscular exertion, but the rower's form looks inefficient and unrefined.
